Open Event
Let’s wander the Timberland preserve, which begins on a section of the Menunkatuck trail (the final, southernmost section of the New England Trail). We’ll hike maybe about 4-5 (+/-) miles over rolling hills and over and around lakes and streams. Our distance will depend on trail conditions and hiker conditioning. We really just want to get out to enjoy nature and good company. Everyone is welcome!
Trail Pets: okay. On leash. Bring vet docs, just in case.
SUGGESTIONS to WEAR/BRING: Hiking boots or trail shoes. Wear sunscreen or bug repellent. Water (2 bottles), snacks (we like snacks, snacks are good), poles (if you use them), camera, compass and copy of the map, great attitude and sense of humor.
