Join us for a walk along the Zoar trail from the main parking lot until reaching a marked side trail. Next we will move off- trail a short distance to visit and discuss a collier’s campsite and various charcoal mounds. Both of these were used to supply charcoal to manufacturing companies along the Housatonic River in the early 1900’s. We will then work our way towards Lake Zoar and finish the last mile with views of the lake.
