An easy, level, leisurely hike on Seabury’s Wildwoods Trails. We will hike in mixed forests and open fields, passing old farm equipment (from the A.C. Petersen dairy farm), a shallow pond, majestic old hardwoods, a marsh, and the spillway for the MDC Reservoir #2 flood control dam. We will look for late spring wildflowers, Tree Trail markers, woodland birds, raptors and will perhaps catch a glimpse of the nesting Bob-O-Links that return to these fields every year. Rocks and roots are trail hazards so wear sturdy, water resistant shoes/boots (in case of wet conditions) and bring a walking stick if desired. Carry water, wear a sunhat, wear long sleeves and pants (or bring bug spray) and take tick precautions. Registrants will be notified if hike is canceled due to rain or poor trail conditions.
