Hikers will learn about the habitats along the Forest Meadow Trail and Beaver Pond Trail at Sessions Woods WMA and interesting facts about the history of Burlington/Sessions Woods . Wildlife biologist Peter Picone will share his knowledge about the flora and fauna of the area. He is the habitat manager of Sessions Woods WMA which is comprised of 764 acres.   Karen Geitz, Burlington Land Trust Director, will provide you with historical information about Sessions Woods as well as some apps you can use to explore nature on your own hikes.

The hike will take place from 2pm to 3:30pm.  At the end of the hike,  a 1 hour Birds Of Prey demonstration (By Christine and Betsy Peyreigne of Christines Critters)  will take place in the Sessions Woods Conservation Education Center, sponsored by the Burlington Land Trust.

If it rains, Mr. Picone will lead a tour of the wildlife exhibits in the Sessions Woods Conservation Education Building and the birds of prey demonstration would follow.
