One of my favorite short hikes on the northern Tunxis trail is a short up and back from Route 20 to the small Summit of Trillium Hill. Then it’s down the ridge to the cascade of waterfalls at Hurricane Brook. We’ll take the opportunity to learn a little bit about the Geology of this part of Connecticut’s hills.

Meeting Location Details

North Hollow Rd., (Rt. 20) north of Hartland at the Tunxis Trailhead

There is a small amount of trailhead parking but more up the hill near the highway garage. ( North side of Rt 20). A short walk down the hill to the trail head
