Join us on June 6th for a special Trails Day walk focused on exploring and strengthening connections between parks across Hartford. This guided walk brings together community members, community organizations, planners, and urban trail enthusiasts to experience existing and potential trail routes firsthand and identify opportunities to better link our green spaces.

As we walk, we’ll observe and discuss existing conditions, including trail accessibility, safety, signage, trail history and overall user experience. Participants will share ideas for improving connectivity between key park destinations.

We’ll also incorporate light trail cleanup along the route—such as picking up litter or clearing small debris—so we can leave the spaces we visit a little better than we found them.
This event is both exploratory and collaborative—designed to spark conversation, gather insights, and build momentum toward a more connected urban trail system. Whether you’re a casual walker, cyclist, advocate, or simply curious about the future of Hartford’s outdoor spaces, your perspective is valuable.

Come be part of the effort to reimagine how we move through and connect with our city’s parks—one step at a time.
