Take a hike along the Housatonic River in New Milford’s Sega Meadows Park and help clean up litter and debris to beautify this gem. Your trail clean-up leader is well versed in the plants and trees as well as animal species found in the park so you are guaranteed to come out with a sense of accomplishment and a little nature knowledge to go with it. This is a moderate walk/hike with approximately 20-30 feet of elevation change from the bank of the river to the parking area. Sturdy shoes, water, a snack, and some work gloves are recommended for participation. The entire loop around the park is around 2 miles.
