We will be launching at Southington at the Route 322 canoe launch. This small river twists and turns through a densely wooded area and passes through some residential areas down to the red bridge in Meriden. There are some class one rapids and some fast water. Depending on the water level, it may be scratchy in a few spots. We may have to portage around a log or 2. I’ll check it out in the week before the trip. This is a beautiful trip, but you must have some paddling skills. It’s at the very least intermediate level. I can bring several canoes or kayaks back to the launch at the end of the trip, but would like a volunteer or 2 to help out.
