Open Event
This family-friendly event is sponsored by the Prospect Land Trust as part of a Trails Day mini-adventure. We will hike the yellow Kathan Woods loop trail, which intersects the Quinnipiac blue trail, a long trail that runs from Hamden to Prospect. If there is time and interest, we will also hike a small portion of the Quinnipiac Trail, as well. The hike is an easy to moderate hike, and will include some stops to talk about some area history, geology, and nature. Wear appropriate footwear and bring water.

Meeting Location Details
The hike begins at the end of the Boardman Drive cul-de-sac in Prospect. Boardman Dr. can be accessed from Plank Rd. between Summit Rd. and Cheshire Rd.
Park in or near the wide cul-de-sac on Boardman Rd. where the trail begins. Although parking is plentiful, carpooling is always a good idea, and I can assist with that, if you contact the leader at 301-524-5739.
