History of the New York to Boston Ghost Train, quarrying of brownstone and use on the trail, walk and history of the Middlesex Land Trust.

John LeShane will lead a meandering 3-mile hike starting on the Palmer Preserve, taking in some of the Air Line Trail and other local sites. Stories will be told, identities may be protected. This hike is held in partnership with The Middlesex Land Trust and The Portland Air Line Trail Steering Committee.

Meeting and parking  location is at the Red Barn on Middle Haddam Road (see directions).
