Join Jeb and David from the Middlesex Land Trust for a relaxed paddle on scenic Black Pond in Middlefield. We’ll launch together and make our way across the pond to the shoreline of the recently protected Roth Preserve, nestled beneath the dramatic cliffs of Beseck Ridge. Along the way, we’ll take in the sights and sounds of this precious environment.

While the pace will be easygoing, participants should be comfortable paddling in open water.

Participants must provide their own paddlecraft and gear. A U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device (PFD) is required. Be sure to bring everything you need for a safe and enjoyable outing—sunscreen, hat, long sleeves, water, and any other essentials.

Steady rain or strong winds will cancel the event.
