Join Great Meadows Conservation Trust’s Paul Woodworth and Connecticut River Conservancy’s Ava Gandhi for a paddle around Wethersfield Cove. Explore the north side of the Cove and Folly Brook. View birdlife and learn about clean water efforts. If we are able, we will also venture out onto the Connecticut River.
This is a novice paddle. A limited number of kayaks with PFD’s are available (as seen in photo). Life vests are required. Sunscreen, snacks and water are highly recommended. Heavy rain or high water cancels.
Pre-Registration is required. For more information contact Tim Lewis: 860-558-4819, info@gmct.org
We have a limited number of Oru Inlet foldable kayaks, paddles and PFD’s to borrow. Please note that the max paddler height for the Inlet boats is 6’2″ and the max paddler weight is 275 lbs. Contact Tim Lewis if you have any questions or accessibility needs.
Paddling is a physical activity. Please be sure you’re prepared for the day with water, food, and any supplies you need as an individual to be successful (including medications you might need, ie: inhalers, EpiPen, insulin, etc).
