4.1 miles
Open Event
Come and hike with Friends of Pachaug Forest (FOPF) along the Nehantic Trail. This moderate 4.1 mile hike is the first of a series of three hikes during which FOPF will lead participants in hiking the entire Nehantic Trail. On this hike you will cross some of the highest elevations in Pachaug SF, circle the rim of a scenic gorge, pass through a working ridgetop farm and likely catch a glimpse of some rare native orchids. Bring water, snacks and bug repellent. FOPF hike Leader is Michael Lane, who was previously a Board Member of FOPF and was one of the founders of the organization.
