Join Kelsey Leach, Science Teacher at Northwestern Regional High School for an informative talk about the fascinating history of Mine Hill Preserve. Kelsey will be joined by John Smoliga, RLT President and Geologist. Learn about this 19th century iron-making complex and the rise and fall of this industrial venture. You will see the remnants of the roasting ovens and blast furnace used to process the iron ore, and see renderings of what Mine Hill looked like during its heyday from 1865 to 1872.
