Slow paced walk along trails with some hills. Mainly forested land along the CT River. Focus of the hike will be observing, listening and noticing birds and nature in a relaxed enjoyable manner. This hike is more about connecting w/ nature, appreciating birdsongs- behavior rather than just identification. An invitation to participate in a 10-15 minute sensory awareness meditation (SAM) at the start will be done. After the SAM, we’ll explore several places throughout the park. Requirements: wear sturdy footwear, Dress for the weather, Bring water, binoculars and or smart phone/Merlin app

I’m a dog lover but not dogs on this hike. Stormy or dangerous weather cancels.
