A Morning Paddle to explore the Salt marsh at the north end of Sherwood Island. Margaret Cozens of CT Sea Grant Long island Sound Study will join us for this special Citizen Science event.
Bring your own Kayak, canoe or paddle craft, and a pump bailer. Life vest and whistle/horn are CT Boating Reg REQUIRED. Waterproof Binoculars and camera are recommended.

A Kayak cart w/ thick wheels for quite long over sand transport on the beach is useful. We will help each other.

Sherwood Island State Park I-95 Exit 18 – Westport CT 06880

Gate entrance at 8:00am Drive around the circle toward the East Beach Parking : Follow Road along shore past Nature Center : Park beachfront almost at end of lot.

We start as close as possible to 8:30 (High Tide is 9:30AM) Please be on time and try arrive at the park entrance at 8:00 AM so you are among the first visitors to be admitted.
