Open Event

I-Park is an international artists-in-residence program situated on 450 acres of nature preserve just north of Devil’s Hopyard State Park. I-Park’s Open Trails Day invites guests of all ages to explore art, culture, and the natural world. As guests walk the trails, they will encounter site-responsive art installations among varied wild habitats. 20 open trails range in length and difficulty, though almost all are quite moderate. There will be a special aviary themed craft station, learning sessions in the pollinator garden, birding field guides, a scavenger hunt for the youngest explorers, and live music performed by The Jolly Beggars: sharing with modern audiences the rich tradition of Celtic folk music and storytelling. Please visit the event page to register (pre-registration highly recommended) and for a formal timeline of the festivities being offered.
