A family and dog (on leash) friendly ramble through open fields and wooded trails at the Town of Granby Holcomb Farm in West Granby, CT. The route will traverse mowed paths through the Holcomb Tree Trail and forest trails along a glacial drumlin through mountain laurel, vernal pools and mature trees.
there are several educational and tree ID signs along the path and brief discussions of geological and farm/forest history will be included. Mementos for children will be provided. See the Resources tab for a trail map. Trails: east fields and red/orange trails.

Ample parking is available at the main campus of the historic Holcomb Farm at the intersection of Simsbury Rd. and Day St. South. Access is available from CT Rte 20, approximately 2 miles west of Granby center, turning onto Day St South to the intersection with Simsbury Rd.
