Experience the unexpected delights of Hill-Stead’s outer grounds on a guided estate walk from the hilltop gardens to the pond, fields, and barns while enjoying splendid views. This hour long guided walk will introduce you to the history and features of the Museum’s 152 acre property. You are welcome to continue exploring the hiking trails on your own after the walk. Weather permitting, the walk will end at the Overlook where you can enjoy a view of the estate and valley beyond.
Registration for the Hill-Stead Estate Walk is free, but donations to support our trails and gardens are always appreciated.
Please be sure to bring your own sunscreen and bug spray! Hats and tall socks are recommended when hiking our trails in case of ticks. On-leash dogs are welcome.
