Join the American Heritage River Commission members on an enjoyable hike through the East Windsor section of the Scantic River. Along the 2.5-mile scenic trail loop, we will look for wildlife, including many bird species and see the work of the beavers. We will cross over the iconic Melrose iron bridge (on the National Registry of Historic Places) to continue on a quarter mile trail. Wear appropriate footwear as the trail can be muddy in season. Bring water and bug spray. Heavy rain will cancel.
