Take an easy ramble through a small urban woodland forest that has seen lots of human disturbance. The walk passes through land Quinnipiac tribal people roamed, formerly quarried areas, and near the location of a dinosaur fossil found in the 1890s. This New Haven Park is undergoing forest restoration. We will look at native and introduced plants, and areas where a beech leaf disease study is taking place. A nature scavenger hunt page for kids available.
