Kick off Trails Day on June 1, from 10 a.m. – Noon with Connecticut Audubon Society at Deer Pond Farm in Sherman! This casual-paced hike will cover approximately three miles.
If you can’t make the June 1st Trails Day event, we hope you’ll join us on our monthly First Friday or Second Saturday Hike. Every month, our volunteers lead visitors through a new route so you can become familiar with our vast trail network.
Whether you’re an experienced hiker or just getting started, this is the perfect opportunity to learn about the local flora and fauna inhabiting our forests, meadows, and wetlands.
So come out, get some fresh air, and enjoy the beauty of nature in early June. Bring water, bug spray and hiking poles if you have them. Feel free to pack a picnic lunch and join us on our terrace after the hike, and then take a stroll through our pollinator garden.
