A great weekend each year in CT to explore some of the best hiking around. Join the Essex Land Trust for a guided hike as we explore the Canfield Meadow Woods Preserve. Tom Soboleski, one of our Canfield Meadow Woods Stewards, will lead this fun and informative hike over mostly moderate terrain. We expect to see the signs of spring as we loop through the woodlands past vernal pools and rock outcroppings. Hike will be 90-120 minutes over moderate terrain and may pass through some soggy areas. Bring a friend or make a friend. We’ll start at the Book Hill Trailhead and meet there following the hike for refreshments. Kid Friendly recommended age 11+
Hike begins at 10 AM. Please arrive by 9:45 AM so the group can review the planned trails and highlights.
