The forest floor is covered with Princess Pine, a clubmoss.  Skunk Cabbage will be passed blooming, but green.  If the Marsh Marigolds are late there is a large area of them.  This is an area on Seabury property bordering the North Branch of the Park River Watershed.  I have recently identified a Red bellied Woodpecker and if we are lucky we will hear the Pileated.  There is a Red Tailed hawk that raises a family most years. This is a wooded trail, with some wet spots and many tree roots.
