This causal nature walk will start at the outdoor pavillion next to the New London Animal Control office and continue onto the nature trails in Bates Woods, an oasis of historic green space in an otherwise urban area. We will follow a circular path through 85 acres of undeveloped woodlands with ancient rocky ledges and around various wetlands with one or two fairly steep inclines approximately 50 feet in length. Paths/trails appropriate for all ages. Dogs are welcome but should probably remain on a leash at all times.
