The home of the fabled “Moodus Noises”, this park offers nice views of the Salmon River Cove, gentle trails, and a picturesque lake.  Our hike also explores CT’s newest “Sunrise Park” set along the banks of the Salmon River. We’ll hike at a gentle-moderate pace, with the opportunity to learn more about the location and history of “The Noises.”  Bring water, sturdy footwear. Machimoodus State Park Entrance.

From the Machimoodus State Park entrance, follow the driveway to the big parking lot. We will meet by the Trail Map Kiosk at the far end of the lot. PLEASE park close to other cars to make room, as the lot can get a bit full. IF the parking lot is full, you can park in wide spots along the short driveway leading to the lot.(The address of the Park seems to be linked to a different location inside the park, not near a road. The above GPS location is correct, and is in the parking lot where we will meet.)

If you prefer to enter text into your GPS directions App, type in “Machimoodus State Park Entrance”, then follow the above instructions to the parking lot and meeting point.

Click on the red map pin for the event address.
