Step into History: An Extended Trails Day Tour of Historic Downtown Southington! Celebrate Trails Day with a journey through time on our guided tour of the historic downtown area near the Barnes Museum. Join us for an immersive experience as we delve into the captivating stories of the past, focusing on the heritage of the Bradley, Barnes, and adjacent families.
This special extended tour will span from Merrell Ave to just past Berlin Ave, offering insights into North Main Street’s history, buildings, monuments, and more. Follow in the footsteps of generations past as we share diary entries and excerpts from letters preserved by the families, providing a unique perspective on the town’s evolution. We’ll be able to step inside a few of the historic buildings along the route. Don’t miss this rare chance to walk alongside history and become a part of our town’s living heritage.
