Complete the newly created Bethany Northwest Loop Trail through four Bethany Land Trust preserves, two Town of Bethany recreation parcels and the Naugatuck State Forest. The hike will pass through beaver habitat, upland forests, a recently acquired Town of Bethany open space parcel and then will cross over into the laurels of the Naugatuck State Forest returning past some house-sized glacial erratics back to where we started. Lots of uphill trekking so wear sturdy shoes and bring water and snacks.
