Two separate 2 mile loops (4 miles total)

20 Open Spots

Take a hike around Great Pond to view beaver lodges, beaver chews and waterfowl. A hike through these managed forests will bring us to the adjacent Simsbury Land Trust Wagner Woods Preserves to see grassland and pollinator meadows, bluebirds and butterflies. A hike through these woods will show how as the land use has changed in this preserve, so has the wildlife. We will discuss the importance of the connection of these properties with other nearby preserves.
