Join Candlewood Valley Regional Land Trust for our Spring Trails Day Birdwatching walk at Komlo Preserve led by Connecticut Audubon Society’s, Lori Lichtenauer. Lori is Deer Pond Farm Sanctuary’s Manager / Naturalist and a Connecticut certified forester.
Komlo Preserve in New Fairfield is an idyllic setting with open meadows, wildlife sanctuary, forested wetlands, a man-made pond and situated in the center of town behind the Nuvance Health Building. It is home to a wide array of wildlife including beavers, ducks and geese as well as many songbirds who rely on this habitat. After the presentation, we will be hiking the .5 mile trail that leads to benches at a stream
