Join CFPA’s Office & Volunteer Manager, Teralyn LaChance, and Trail Manager, Teresa Goulden, for a gentle, family-friendly Bird Hike & Bird Yoga Adventure along a scenic section of the Mattatuck Trail in Wolcott!

This easy, 2-mile walk is about curiosity and fun. We’ll wander through nature keeping our eyes open for bird nests, feathers, and other tiny clues our avian neighbors leave behind. Using the Merlin App, we’ll listen for birdsongs and see how many feathered friends we can spot together.

Along the way, we’ll also pause for playful, bird-inspired yoga poses—think flapping, stretching, and balancing like your favorite birds! The trail is mostly flat and easygoing. This is a family-friendly outing perfect for all ages. Sorry, no dogs allowed.

We will meet by the skateboard park fenced in section. This is near the trail entrance. Note the entrance and exit are both one-way.
