Belding Wildlife Management Area Loop. We will walk ~ 2 miles on a mostly level well-maintained trail. In addition to the Tankerhoosen River flowing through Belding, it is known for hosting over 100 bird species and is a Class 1 Wild Trout Management Area with wild brook and brown trout. The hike will include a wildflower field, some old stone walls and a small human-made waterfall if there has been some rain. We will also explore an outcropping of rock with some cool garnet formations and will stop by a forest that is being managed to encourage ground-nesting birds. There is a lot to see and experience at Belding!
