Join the Canton Land Conservation Trust and the Hartford Audubon Society for a 1+ hour beginner’s birdwalk for families in this beautiful CLCT preserve. You’ll be introduced to birdwatching and learn about apps on your phone to help you recognize birds. We’ll look for birds, discuss the ecosystem, and enjoy being in nature. Easy slow walking, about 1/2  to 1 mile in total. Bring binoculars, smart phone, sturdy sneakers, insect repellent, water, and snack. Children ages 6 and older are welcome. Leader will have some binoculars to loan to participants if needed. Email leader to register. Please load the app “Merlin” before coming, as well as “eBird”.  Both are free from Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
