This is the North Branford Land Conservation Trust Inc.’s, Grand Opening of our Beech Street Demonstration Forest property. This 17-acre property was recently acquired from the Regional Water Authority, so there are brand new trails to explore.
See our ADA-compliant parking lot, as well as, our timber-frame kiosk.
We are doing four things at this event: 1 – a short meeting, with some remarks about how the project came to fruition, 2 – a talk about the forest itself and our plans for it moving forward, 3 – a ribbon cutting to officially open the property, and 4 – two options for either a hike around the property or staying at the parking area for a tree identification session, which will be conducted by our Professional Forester. Hike and tree identification will start at 10:30am.

For this special event, no dogs will be allowed.

Parking will be along Beech Street, near intersection of Pomps Lane.
Meeting location is the kiosk at the parking lot.
