Join the Canton Land Conservation Trust for a gorgeous hike on the Pratt Preserve’s Waquaheag Trail and Horseshoe Trail. We will meet on the level area near Cherry Brook and follow the Waquaheag Trail across the bridge. The trail, steep in spots, winds through mixed deciduous woods and between some spectacular rock formations. Hikers will be able to stay with the leader on the full Waquaheag Trail for a longer, more challenging option, or choose to return via the shorter, easier Horseshoe Trail loop. We will return to our starting point in 1.5 hours or less. Hikers should wear sturdy shoes and bug spray, bring water and a snack, and please leave dogs at home.

Turn into the marked driveway for 84 Cherry Brook Road – look for streamers or balloons at the driveway entrance, which is easy to miss! Drive down the driveway to the parking field. Park and then walk down the rest of the driveway to the level area near the stream to start the hike. Note: we are opening the gate to access this parking area only for this day; normally the gate is locked and hikers use the small parking area along Cherry Brook Road.
