It’s time to by-pass the gorgeous views and picturesque streams in order to admire the texture of lichen, the details in bark, and find joy in the little details we might otherwise pass by! Join CFPA’s Education Assistant Julia Sonen to take a closer look at the trail and world around us.

Starting from the Bolton Commuter Lot, we will follow the Shenipsit Trail on a slow hike, periodically stopping to notice and share the smallest details that bring us joy. Bring your curiosity and expect to be awed by the tiny things on this easy hike. There is a little bit of elevation, and a few areas with tricky footing, but we will take our time though these areas.

Preparing appropriately for two hours under the trees will make your hike much more enjoyable. I suggest a water bottle, sunscreen, a hat, snacks if needed, bug spray, and appropriate footwear for slightly rocky trails. Magnifying lenses will be provided.
