The hike will start at 136 BREAKNECK HILL ROAD, MIDDLEBURY, CT.  Middlebury Land Trust representatives will shuttle hikers to the start of the hike, which is at the entrance to the Sperry Preserve on Straits Turnpike. Hikers may also meet the rest of the group at the starting point, but should be aware that there is very limited parking available there, and it is a very busy road. This hike is family and leashed-dog friendly and is over two miles in length. The terrain includes some wetlands, hills and rocky terrain. The hike ends at Abbott Pond, which is adjacent to 136 Breakneck Hill Road.  Following the hike at 1pm, the Pulawski and Foote families invite the hikers for light refreshments at 136 Breakneck Hill Road, Middlebury.
