Join us for a family-friendly hike to the so-called council caves. (It’s a large rock formation.) It’s about two miles round trip and we’ll stop along the way to find salamanders. Feel free to come for as long as you like. Packing a lunch to eat at the rocks could be nice. The rocks are fun to climb but it will be important to keep a close eye on children. Intersection of Legeyt Rd and E Hartland Rd, Barkhamsted, CT

There is parking on the shoulder on the east side of East Hartland Rd where it intersects with Legeyt Rd. The hike begins just across East Hartland Rd.
