This loop trail ascends to the West Mountain ridgeline with views of the Heublein Tower, the Barndoor Hills and depending on visibility, Mount Tom. It then descends to a failed rift valley to the west of the ridge and returns along streams and the base of a talus slope to the parking area. This trail has steep slopes and rough rocky footing in places. Not suitable for young children.
