To celebrate its 100th year anniversary, the Waterford Country School is hosting a nature walk on its 320 acres. Rob “Digga” Schacht, whose grandparents started the school in 1922, will lead a walk and describe the land and history of the WCS. The hike passes through the school’s farm and its therapuetic farm animals-mini horses, donkeys, exotic birds and more. We’ll visit two beautiful bodies of water-Miller’s Pond and Lake Cuheca. The hike is co-sponsored by the Waterford Land Trust. Board member and Horticulturist Jim Luce will join the walk and talk about the trees and shrubs found along the way.
