Thames River Heritage Park Quests are self-guided, family-friendly treasure-seeking hikes. Follow the clues to solve our word puzzle while learning about the history of Groton and the ecology of the Thames River estuary. See the “Resources” tab to get more Quest information. Quests are a blast for bird watchers, dog walkers and history buffs alike!

Explore more of the Thames River Heritage Park with a total of 4 Quests: Downtown New London Waterfront Park, Fort Griswold, Fort Trumbull, and Hidden Thames Street.

“Questers” who finish a Thames River Heritage Park Quest and send a selfie from the final location to info@thamesriverheritagepark.org OR post it on Facebook or Instagram, tagging us, will receive a promo code for a complimentary roundtrip harbor cruise ticket. Tickets will be available at the boats beginning on Saturday, June 11 and may be used for any 2022 regularly scheduled harbor cruise.
