Ride And Walk At Shoreline Trolley Museum

Educational Walk Multiple Activities

Sat. Jun 4

10:00 am

12:00 pm

2 miles

Venture into history as the Branford and East Haven Shoreline Greenway Trail crew and the Shoreline Trolley Museum sponsor a trolley ride and walk for Connecticut Trails Day. From Sprague Station, the trolley will take us for a ride along the Farm River Estuary. On the return trip, we’ll be dropped off for a walk to the remains of the old trap rock crushing plant along the Farm River and then up to the top of Beacon Hill, with great views of the beautiful estuary. Our day will end with a guided tour of some of the wonderful old trolleys refurbished by Museum volunteers, including the subway car that survived the World Trade Center disaster of 2001. This is a wonderful opportunity to highlight the Connecticut Shoreline’s historic attractions. Some walking is a little rough so wear good walking shoes.
