Open Event

We will be hiking in Nassahegon state forest along the blue and white and yellow tunxis trails. We will pass the pitch pine management area. On this hike we will identify trees, discussing invasive species, talking about forest succession, and decipher the surrounding landscapes. Our hike will take us past the Connecticut fish hatchery, with several small waterfalls along the way. This hike will be fairly easy with a smooth trail with only a half mile uphill section. Dogs are welcome!
