Join Jay Levy for an interpretive hike on the New England Trail. Jay will share his knowledge of indigenous history on and near the trail, as well as his ongoing research survey of indigenous sites and communities. Jay Levy is the Archaeology Supervisor for the Mohegan Tribal Historic Preservation Office.

This moderately-paced loop hike will link the Mattabesett section of the New England Trail, the North Slope Trail, the Lone Pine Trail and the George Etzel- Meyerhuber Trail. We will stop to enjoy the views from the top of beautiful Bluffhead and the Totoket Plateau.

Please bring a daypack, lots of water, sturdy shoes, snacks, sunscreen, bug repellent and whatever else you need to spend a comfortable time in the woods. The terrain is rolling with some inclines and loose footing.
