Mt Misery Loop Hike

This hike includes sections of the Nehantic, Pachaug, and Quinebaug Trails. The hike starts out and finishes with a nice view of Hopeville Pond. We will go through forests and fields, see small waterfalls and old dams, and enjoy panoramic views at Mt Misery and fresh blooms on the Rhododendron Sanctuary Trail.
ADK Rating: Vigorous 12 miles at a fast 2-2.5 mph pace and 900 ft of elevation gain. You must stay with the group without holding us back. Take pictures for ADK photo contest. DOGS okay but a leash will be required for the road crossings.

You don’t have to register at the ADK site. Just RSVP above and if accepted you will be moved from the waitlist. You will need to sign a waiver at the trailhead. 
Please cancel at least 48 hours prior to event so those on the wait list can attend.
Required Equipment: at least 2.5 liters H2O/snacks, phone, printed map, coat warm enough for overnight temps, dry base layer plus others layers, hiking boots and poles and the list in the Resources tab above.
