Experience the unexpected delights of Hill-Stead’s outer grounds on a guided estate walk from the hilltop gardens to the pond, fields, and barns while enjoying splendid views. This hour long guided walk will introduce you to the history and features of the Musuem’s 152 acre property. You are welcome to continue exploring the hiking trails on your own after the walk.

Please be sure to bring your own sunscreen and bug spray! Hats and tall socks are recommended when hiking our trails in case of ticks. On-leash dogs are welcome.

Follow Hill-Stead’s driveway off of Mountain Rd. all the way around the main building to the parking lot. You can enter through the glass doors to the visitor center, and check in at the gift shop. You will be directed to the group’s meeting point.
