Join Hartford Audubon Society leader and science teacher Sarah Faulkner for a two-hour beginner’s birdwalk for families in this beautiful park. You’ll be introduced to birdwatching, learn to find and identify birds, and learn about apps on your phone that can help. Children ages 6 to 17 are welcome. We’ll look for birds, discuss the ecosystems, and enjoy being in nature. Easy walking. Bring binoculars, smart phone if possible, insect repellent, water, and snack. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Leader will have some binoculars to loan to participants. Email leader to register for the walk.
