Hike the beaver pond at Beaver Ledges Preserve in Haddam, including our newly acquired DeForest Nature Preserve, which extends the Trust’s land to include the entire pond.
Parts of the trail are hilly and/or rocky.

Meeting Location Details
Traveling south on Saybrook Road (Rte. 154) just south of the Rte. 82 highway ramp, turn right onto Dudley Clark Road, then right onto Old Chester Road. Follow Old Chester Road (becomes Ruth Hill Road) to the overpass, about 1.5. miles. Park beyond the overpass before the one lane dirt road. The walk will begin here.
