Park at the Air Line Trail parking lot located at 82 Middle Haddam Road in Portland, CT. John LeShane, local tour guide, will lead us as we follow a wooded trail along the CT Greenway to the former Air Line rail bed, a part of the New York Central Railroad. ( 1890s till 1960s ). We will continue East towards East Hampton and return back on the same trail, taking time to observe various birds and our colorful pollinator garden.

Take Route 66 east in Portland and turn left onto Middle Haddam Road at the Winchester Cafe. The Trail parking lot is a quarter mile on the left .
